Join us for a 40's era Valentine's Day dance with live music provided by local women's vocal group Key of She. Learn the basic steps of swing and foxtrot with a dance lesson from 7-7:30pm, then dance with your sweetie until 9pm to fantastic live music from the "Fabulous Forties". Young and old alike will enjoy a fun-filled night celebrating this classic era of music and dance.
Key of She will perform a combination of full-group choral numbers from the era, as well as various solos and small group numbers, accompanied by an instrumental jazz trio. Attendees are welcome to sit and listen to the music or to show off their swingin' style on the dance floor. Light refreshments will be provided. Attendees are encouraged (but not required) to dress in period attire.
