SUMMARY:Painting with Credit Cards with Martin Lambuth
DESCRIPTION:<p>Learn more at&nbsp;<a href="https://www.flipcause.com/secure/event_step2/NzE5MDg=/63720">https://www.flipcause.com/secure/event_step2/NzE5MDg=/63720</a></p><p>In Painting with Credit Cards, Martin Lambuth teaches you to explore a new method of painting primarily with plastic cards (credit cards, rooms keys, gift cards). This technique invites unique finishes and textures. He calls this style, “Random Acts of Paint”, as the exact result of a “brushstroke” is unknown. Martin's technique is a blend of concerted effort and happy accidents. It is similar to painting with a palette knife, but the end results more closely resemble brushwork. The paintings created with cards invoke a sense of realism when viewed at a distance, but up close the viewer can relish in the abstracted interplay of loose textures buried in layers of rich color.&nbsp;Elements of painting will be discussed throughout the workshop as well.&nbsp;</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>February 15, 2020</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Member $55.00, BG Partner $65.00, Non-member $75.00</p><p>Location:&nbsp;Louisville Center for the Arts,&nbsp;801 Grant Avenue, Louisville, CO</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Member $55.00, BG Partner $65.00, Non-member $75.00</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><br /></p><div class="telerik_paste_container" style="border-width: 0px; position: absolute; overflow: hidden; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; left: 3px; top: 59px; width: 1px; height: 1px;"><div class="col-xs-12 col-sm-4 col-md-3 col-lg-3 text-center" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 15px; text-align: center; position: relative; min-height: 1px; float: left; width: 247px; color: rgb(40, 42, 43); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><a rel="lightbox[group]" href="https://www.flipcause.com/assets/uploads/events/crop_thumb/5df92f7268147_645632608851xl.jpg" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; background-color: transparent; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); text-decoration-line: none; transition: all 0.5s ease-in-out 0s; outline: none;"></a></div><div class="col-xs-12 col-sm-8 col-md-9 col-lg-9" style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px 15px; position: relative; min-height: 1px; float: left; width: 741px; color: rgb(40, 42, 43); font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px; background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);"><p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 18px;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-weight: 700; display: block;">About This Class</span></p><p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 15px; text-align: center; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: &quot;Trebuchet MS&quot;; color: rgb(29, 31, 31);"></p><div style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px;"><p style="box-sizing: border-box; margin-bottom: 0px; padding: 0px; overflow-wrap: break-word; font-size: 12px; font-stretch: normal; line-height: normal; font-family: Helvetica;"><span style="box-sizing: border-box; margin: 0px; padding: 0px; font-size: 14px;">In Painting with Credit Cards, Martin Lambuth teaches you to explore a new method of painting primarily with plastic cards (credit cards, rooms keys, gift cards). This technique invites unique finishes and textures. He calls this style, “Random Acts of Paint”, as the exact result of a “brushstroke” is unknown. Martin's technique is a blend of concerted effort and happy accidents. It is similar to painting with a palette knife, but the end results more closely resemble brushwork. The paintings created with cards invoke a sense of realism when viewed at a distance, but up close the viewer can relish in the abstracted interplay of loose textures buried in layers of rich color.&nbsp;Elements of painting will be discussed throughout the workshop as well.&nbsp;</span><br style="box-sizing: border-box;
