DESCRIPTION:<p><i>El Susto</i> (The Shock) tells the story of how courageous public health activists in Mexico stirred a giant, the powerful beverage industry, aka “Big Soda”, when they took action to curb sugary drink consumption, with sobering and inspiring lessons for the rest of the world.&nbsp;</p><p>A light dinner will be provided, and local medical and health professionals will serve as panelists to lead a post-viewing discussion.</p><p>Boulder County childhood obesity rates have doubled since 2003. One in three kids born after the year 2000 will develop diabetes. Poor diet now kills more people than tobacco. What is driving these alarming trends? This documentary series, presented by&nbsp;Healthy Louisville Kids,&nbsp;examines one of the biggest contributors to chronic disease and offers hope for what we can do improve our health and the health of our community.<u1:p>&nbsp;</u1:p></p><br><p><a href="https://www.eventbrite.com/e/healthy-louisville-kids-el-susto-tickets-427236906087" target="_blank">Registration is required</a>.
