DESCRIPTION:<p>The City of Louisville is actively recruiting for an&nbsp;<strong>Economic&nbsp;Vitality Manager </strong>and we would like to invite the Louisville business community to meet our top two finalists for this important role.&nbsp; </p><p><b>Join us at Louisville City Hall at 749 Main Street on Wednesday, November 30<sup>th</sup> between 5:30 and 6:30 PM for a Meet and Greet with our 2 top Economic Vitality candidates</b>.</p><p>The candidates will give short introductions about their background and then mingle with the business community. There will be comment cards to give your impressions of the candidates to help guide our decision. Appetizers and hot cider will be available as refreshments.</p><p><b><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Information about this role</span></b></p><p>The Economic Vitality Manager is a new position that will report to the Community Development Director in our Economic Vitality Division.&nbsp; The Economic Vitality Manager will provide expertise concerning the goals of the City in building a strong local and resilient economy.&nbsp; This role will interact with local property owners, developers, and investors; City, State, and regional staff members; and commercial real estate organizations. </p><p>The Economic Vitality Manager serves as the lead in economic vitality and development for the City. This role is responsible for the administration, coordination, and management of all economic development activities across all City departments. The Economic Vitality Manager must exercise a high degree of trust, integrity, and confidence in all situations. Responsibilities require constant attention and commitment to the City’s strategic goals and philosophies. A high level of problem solving skills, self-initiative and willingness to work with the community are required. The environment in which this position operates is complex, highly political, fast-moving and always evolving, requiring independence of action and judgement to a high degree.</p>
