They encourage citizen participation to bring together many voices to make a meaningful impact in our community. Your participation helps shape initiatives to make Louisville a great place for all people. Becoming a member of a board or commission is an excellent way to become active in city government and is an opportunity to provide your views in areas of individual interest.

The City has a variety of boards each with specific responsibilities and duties. Special skills are not required for most boards, but communication skills, problem solving, teamwork, community engagement, and a commitment to transparency are beneficial characteristics to possess. Find a board that interests you and apply.
