Approximately 50% of people over the age of 65 report difficulty sleeping. Sleep complaints were associated with an increasing number of physical disabilities, prescription and nonprescription medication use, depressive symptoms, and poorer self-perceived health. We’ll review why elders have difficulty sleeping and present the current scientific approaches to help improve sleep. William J.
